A new Niggun was chosen to be sung throughout this year in honor of the Rebbe’s 118th birthday.
The Niggun is set to words from kapitel 119 of Tehillim, which is the Rebbe’s new kapitel for the next year.
Chassidim recite the chapter of Tehillim corresponding to the Rebbe’s every day, as per the directive of the Rebbe, and each year, a Niggun is composed based upon lines from the kapitel.
The Niggun was composed by Meir Sasonkin of Ohio.
The Niggun is on the following words from the new Kapitel:
Very hartzig
Just curious who are the ones nowadays who decides this and what’s the submission process?
I think this is the best niggun in many years
So beautiful
