The Talmidim Hashluchim for the year 5773 at the Yeshiva Gedola Chabad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, released a new publication titled “Iyunei Torah” (Torah Insights) with commentaries and discussions written by the bochurim.
Topics discussed are from Gemara, Chassidus, the Rebbe’s teachings as well as practical halacha, such as the definition of an ill person for whom Shabbos can be desecrated and whether spilling wine on the floor is permitted.
The end of the 211 page book is stories that the yeshiva’s Mashpia Rabbi Asher Farkash has transcribed over the years. He heard them from Rabbi Zalman Gafni, Mashpia of Ohr Tmimim in Kfar Chabad and Mashpia Rabbi Sholom Ber Groner and South Africa, and the late chossid R’ Meir Avtzon.
Also included in the kovetz are 3 responses the Rebbe personally wrote to Rabbi Berel Baumgarten OBM who was Argentina’s first Shliach. There’s also a shiur that Rabbi Zelig Feldman OBM, Rosh Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim in Kfar Chabad, gave in 5749.
The kovetz was published for the 15th of Av and is dedicated to the 200th yartzeit of the Alter Rebbe and 73 years of the Rebbe’s leadership.
