Six years ago on Rosh Hashana, Temple Judea – a Conservative synagogue in Broward County, Florida held it first orthodox service in its thirty years in existence.
Its members had approached Rabbi Y. Bronstein, a local Floridian Lubavitcher for help in rejuvenating the synagogue’s diminishing membership. Rabbi Y. Bronstein and his wife have since helped the Shul grow to a membership of 50 families. The Shul has a steady Minyan, with frequent Shiurim, holiday events and more.
Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Bronstein was born and raised in Kfar Chabad Israel and received Smicha from Tomchei Temimim in 770. He has lived in Miami Beach for the past thirty five with his wife Shternie and their family.
Initially the Congregation was resistant to becoming a Chabad Shul, yet now after having been exposed to the beauty that Chabad has to offer the members are ready for their Shul to become “Congregation Judea -Chabad Israeli Center.”
The Shul will continue to be devoted to its original members as well as service the many Israelis and Jews in the surrounding communities.
The Shul will be under the auspices of Chabad of Walnut Creek headed by Rabbi Zalman Korf as approved by Rabbi Avraham Korf – head Shliach of the state of Florida.
Rabbi Bronstein feels honored and privileged to have the Zechus to be a Shliach of the Rebbe. “My work is just beginning, There are so many Israelis and other Jews in the area who need to be contacted on a personal level.
My wife Shternie and I are thrilled to be able to do the rebbes shlichus -This is where our hearts are .”

I am inspired!
Shlichus is for EVERYONE, not just for the young couple in Kollel.
At any age, even a zeidy and bubby can start a shlichus.
It is NEVER “too late” to roll up our sleeves and sign up in the Rebbe’s Army.
Hatzlocha and may we all take a lesson, become inspired and follow in their ways with true “kinas sofrim”
