A new glass temporary structure is going up in front of 770 Eastern Parkway, replacing the traditional tent which is built each year to accommodate the overflow crowd.
The traditional tent, spanning close to 300 feet and serving as a pivotal space for the overflow crowd from 770, is undergoing a transformative change. Every year, this space enables thousands to daven and learn comfortably.
In collaboration with the Lubavitcher party rental company – A1 Party & Tent Rentals, a new glass temporary structure has been imported from China. Not only will this provide an architectural upgrade with its elegant glass panels and state-of-the-art cooling systems but it will also reinforce the central role this space holds during Tishrei.
“The Rebbe always emphasized, that we continue to push boundaries and aim higher,” said Rabbi Mendel Mintz. “This new structure is not just an aesthetic upgrade; it’s a testament to the flourishing growth of the Rebbe’s army.”
Adding to the enthusiasm, Rabbi Shmuly Butler remarked, “There’s no greater harchava, fitting for Chabad World Headquarters – The Rebbe’s shul.”
The installation is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday to welcome the thousands who will gather in its embrace during the month of Tishrei.
