“Moreh Hameshuamamim – Guide for the Bored for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur” is 20 pages of whimsical stuff to look at while you’re supposed to be Davening. In it includes Torah thoughts written in an entertaining style, things to do (like a Shul scavenger hunt that challenges you to find things like “a person with a stack of Seforim taller than they are”) and snippets of Midrash and Gemara that you probably haven’t heard of before.
“It probably feels like it’s for kids because there are games and pictures in it, but there’s also a lot to keep adults interested. Honestly, I just made what I thought I would like,” Taub says.
You can download the PDF for free here, which can be printed full page or, in Taub’s words, “as a handy-dandy booklet.” Feel free to print them for your family and friends and everyone else at school and of course your Shul.
According to Taub this is just the first taste of a larger initiative called CreativeJudaism.com which will offer more content and programs to encourage Jewish creativity in the coming months. The site is currently under construction, but you can sign up there to get notified when it officially launches.
