The 16th Kinus Hatmimim for bochurim of Chabad Yeshivos and Zals from around the world was held at Campus Chomesh in Crown Heights, Wednesday.
The gathering was dedicated to Yud Shvat, the 70th anniversary of the Rebbe’s leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
The theme was “The personal connection of the Rebbe to each chossid.”
Featured speakers were Rabbi Tzvi Gunblatt, Head Shliach of Argentina, and Rabbi Leima Wilhelm, Mashpia at Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim in Morristown, NJ. It was emceed by Rabbi Chaim Stern, Menahel of the Chabad Yeshiva in Miami.
Two surprise speakers were Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, Head Shliach of Philadelphia and Chairman of Agudas Chassidei Chabad International, and Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshiva Ohr Elchanan Chabad in Los Angeles.
During the evening, a new learning campaign was announced for bochurim to study 10 letters of the Rebbe from Igros Kodesh each week, reaching a total of 70 in honor of the 70th Yud Shvat.
A separate gathering was held at the Dining Hall of Oholei Torah for bochurim of Chabad Mesivtas. They were addressed by the London Mashpia Rabbi Mendel Gordon and Rabbi Yosef Lusting of the Mesivta in New Haven.
