CHYE is teaming up with Miriam’s Motherhood Center to host an empowering networking event for all female business owners this Monday night.
Starting a business is no easy task. There are no regular paychecks, no managers checking in on you, and no coworkers to vent to. An entrepreneur needs to be resilient enough to overcome all the self-doubt and setbacks that come along with the territory.
That’s why a new women’s networking event, hosted by CHYE and Mothers of Crown Heights, aims to help women overcome the hurdles of entrepreneurship.
The event will be held Monday, November 22, at the new Miriam’s Motherhood Center, which also hosts office space for freelancers during the day. The event will feature introductory remarks by Chava Witkes, founder of Townhouse, a community in Crown Heights serving young Lubavitch professionals, and will be followed by time for both structured and unstructured networking.
“You never know what kind of good will come out of a new connection,” explains Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, founder of CHYE. “Expanding a business network can lead to new clients, new customers, or even a new business partner.”
Rabbi Yehoshua Werde started CHYE in 2012 to help support entrepreneurship in Crown Heights. “None of us can do it alone,” he says.
CHYE was designed to bring together business owners and freelancers of Crown Heights to network, build relationships, and access professional development and educational opportunities.
