In a gesture underscoring the friendship between the United States and Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented President Donald Trump with a deeply symbolic gift carrying a connection to the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
During this week’s diplomatic meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, Netanyahu gifted the President and First Lady gold lapel pins of the American flag, set with red garnet gemstones mined in Israel. Each gemstone was sourced directly from the Land of Israel and certified for authenticity, highlighting a bond rooted in shared values and destiny. The pins were produced by HOLYGEMS, the Israeli company specializing in gemstones mined exclusively from Israel, in fulfillment of guidance inspired by a prophecy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe about the discovery of precious stones in the Holy Land.
The garnets were part of a rare deposit of newly discovered minerals in the Carmel Mountains, including sapphire and Carmel sapphire, findings that began after two decades of exploration following the Rebbe’s blessing and encouragement regarding the potential for undiscovered treasures in Israel.
By incorporating gemstones from Israel’s soil into the American flag pin, the gift symbolized a connection built not only on policy but on faith, history, and mutual respect. The gesture, Israeli officials said, reflected a partnership grounded in democratic values, strategic cooperation, and a shared Judeo-Christian heritage.
This meaningful exchange followed an earlier gift Netanyahu presented to President Trump in July: a leather case containing a single U.S. dollar bill that the Lubavitcher Rebbe had given out with a blessing for success.
Netanyahu has long been influenced by the Rebbe, having met him personally several times. The Rebbe encouraged Netanyahu to stand strong in defense of the Land of Israel and its people.
