“My son was taken away from me unlawfully!”
My name is Milca and I am a 36-year-old Jewish mother of a wonderful boy. I married my abuser in Florida in 2006, where Hashem blessed me, and I gave birth to my beautiful son in May of 2009. I divorced my abusive husband BH and I was given primary custody (although I shared weekends with my ex-husband) and I was the primary caregiver responsible for his schooling.
“One afternoon, my ex husband took our son out of school and never returned him.”
My abuser claimed that the school our son had been attending for years was out of his jurisdiction, and that he had to move him to a school within both of our jurisdiction. My abuser had this all planned out, as he knew that I am a US immigrant here, with no US driver’s license (or any way to obtain one legally) and therefore could not take him to his new school.
“He abused this power over me, to take away my primary caregiver status as I no longer could take him to his new school.”
Additionally, several weeks later, “my abuser managed to have my US Visa cancelled so that I would be forced to leave the US and get deported to Israel WITHOUT MY SON!”
As an Israeli citizen whose US Visa was dependent on my ex-husband’s status, I lost my ability to remain in the US. I was forced to leave the US. And moved back to live in Israel for the past two and a half years, without my son!
Before I left the US, the court in Florida ordered;
“The father is to ensure that mom and her son spend time together abroad several times a year, and for them to speak daily. Additionally, if the mother succeeds in returning to the US, the son would once again live with her.” But I haven’t seen or spoken to my son in 2 and a half years!”
Unfortunately, the father has banned our joint son from seeing or contacting me for almost three years. The pain of having lost my son is more painful and stinging than words could ever describe. I am never complete, and I keep searching, and praying for some salvation and hope every moment and hour of every single day!
This separation is killing me and my son! He is being mistreated and I need to be there for him now!
“Friends of the family have come forward describing the neglect and abuse of the child by the father and a stepmother.”
My ex husband took our son to a hotel casino overnight and left him alone in the room while he went to gamble and drink. In the middle of the night security personnel found the boy alone and wandering in the corridors looking for his father. Security found the father drunk in the casino. They called a friend of the family to come and take them both home. On several occasions, another friend came to the house during the afternoon and found the child wandering the house unfed and undressed while his father and stepmother were still sleeping after a crazy night out.
This young boy had been an excellent student when he was with me, his mother – but according to his school reports, he is absent very frequently and his grades are nearly failing. The school reports that
“He cries constantly for his mother, including at school. This is a tragedy!”
I was able to find a very kind lawyer who has helped me until now free of charge, but he is a New York lawyer who doesn’t specialize in family court. He kindly filed papers in the Florida court asking the court to allow my son to live in Israel with me so that I can take care of him properly, as I always did. However, at this point it is imperative to my case to engage a Florida based lawyer specializing in family court so that I can demand that my son come home, as this is an urgent matter!
Please help me raise $30,000 to obtain professional legal counsel and legal fees. I have no place to turn but to you! I turn to other parents, and loving individuals who can try and understand the emptiness and shock of having my son taken away from me, as my helplessness is bound by the chains of my abuser! We cannot let him do this to my young boy! He needs to come home! And I need your help to get him here!
“Please help me bring my son home!”
Below are images and a video of my story. There is also a letter from the Tahel organisation who have made tremendous efforts to support me in bringing my son home. I now need YOUR support Am Yisroel!

This is so painful to read…may you soon be reunited with your child!
She should contact Rabbi Lazer Rivkin senior & Attorney Flasterstein in Tampa Florida. Rabbi Rivkin senior is one of the ONLY orthodox Rabbis in Florida who cares about single mothers AT ALL. I have done research. They are in my prayers.
This is what these people do . She should contact them. They unite mothers with children all the time.
Florida is a very tough place for single moms. The courts do not enforce their rulings at all.
This will take community support as well, name the husband so that pressure can be applied for him to do the right thing.
She isn’t asking for your sorrow,
she is asking , for money to pay the attorney
