Mrs. Rechil Tzipra Levy, a mother and grandmother from London, England, passed away on Thursday, 3 Sivan, 5782.
She was 73.
Mrs. Levy was a devoted member of the London Chabad community, dedicated to sharing the beauty of Yiddishkeit with others.
She volunteered for many causes, including running the N’shei Chabad of London for many years.
Mrs. Levy hosted a weekly radio station called “Spectrum International,” where she shared Divrei Torah, Pasha Quips, recipes, and more.
She would travel to Sunday Schools all over London to teach children how to braid Challah, and would use the opportunity to share with them the beauty of Shabbos. She also spent many hours teaching young Ba’alei Teshuva about our rich, beautiful, heritage.
Truly a Regal Queen, she inspired so many, and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband Rabbi Moshe Levy and children, Shiffy Shimshoni – Crown Heights, Mendy Levy – London, England, Yossi Levy – Cincinnati, Channie Viener – Crown Heights, Rivkie Stiefel – Florida, Sholly Levy – Crown Heights, Shmuly Levy – Crown Heights, Elimelech Levy – Sydney, Australia, Yanky Levy – London, England, Sorella Abrahams – Sydney, Australia, Chananya Levy – Florida, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Chaya’le OBM.
The levaya will take place today, Thursday, in London, passing Lubavitch House, Stamford Hill, Northfield Road N16 at approximately 1:15 to 1:30 pm.
Burial in Addas Yisroel Cemetery, Silver Street, Cheshunt, Herts.
Family are sitting Shiva at 89 Princes Park Avenue, London, NW11 0JS.
Shiffy Shimshoni will be sitting shiva Thursday in Crown Heights, till 1 pm at 431 Brooklyn ave.
