An event took place Thursday evening in Crown Heights to mark the Shloshim of Mrs. Rechil Levy obm a member of the Chabad Community in London, England.
Family and friends of the Levy family gathered at Anshei Lubavitch Shul in Crown Heights to remember the mother and grandmother who was known for her dedication to sharing the beauty of Yiddishkeit with others.
Speakers included Dayan Itche Raskin – Dayan of Chabad, London, UK Rabbi Yossi Garelik – Rov of Anshei Lubavitch Shul in Crown Heights and Rabbi Chaim Levi Goldstein – Mechanech in Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Crown Heights.
Mrs. Levy was known for her dedication to sharing the beauty of Yiddishkeit with others. She volunteered for many causes, including running the N’shei Chabad of London for many years.
Mrs. Levy hosted a weekly radio station called “Spectrum International,” where she shared Divrei Torah, Pasha Quips, recipes, and more.
She would travel to Sunday Schools all over London to teach children how to braid Challah, and would use the opportunity to share with them the beauty of Shabbos. She also spent many hours teaching young Ba’alei Teshuva about our rich, beautiful, heritage.

What a big loss to our local Stamford Hill Community, Mrs Levy was a person
who did a lot Klall work behind the scenes that went unnoticed or approached! May her soul be a Malitz Yosher for us all!
