Mrs. Izah Suissa, matriarch of a large Lubavitch family with many children and grandchildren on Shlichus, passed away Tuesday morning, 17th Kislev, 5772.
Originally from Morroco, Mrs. Suissa and her husband Machluf moved to Dimona, Israel in 1967, and served as the Rebbe’s representatives to the city until they moved to Jerusalem in the late 80’s, and an official Shliach was sent there.
Her husband passed away in 5763.
She is survived by her children Rabbi Eliyahu Suissa – Kiryat Gat, Israel, Mrs. Shulamis Pape – Crown Heights, Mrs. Hefziba Shuchat – Caracas, Venezuela, Mrs. Dina Zajac – S. Paulo, Brazil, Rabbi Meir Suissa – Be’er Sheva, Israel and Mrs. Devorah Ebert – Jerusalem.

Hashem! We can’t take it anymore! Moshiach now!
While I don’t know Mrs Suissa AH or any of her family, I am very familiar with Morocco and Moroccan Jews. Her picture represents the very best of the old world of Torah in Morocco, before the French secularism and political disruptions that put an end to centuries of Jewish life there.
Soon, any minute now, with Moshiach, the values of that world and the neshomos of those, like Mrs Suissa AH, who held steadfast to those values, will be restored.
Please post where the family is sitting shiva and telephone number to reach Mrs. Pape.
look at how tznius her hair covering. No wonder she had such a great zechus. my grandmother also wore her haircovering like that and look how I turned out 🙂 !!! actually not too bad.
