Mrs. Channa Miriam Tarshish, a beloved mother and grandmother who lived in Chicago and North Miami Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, 26 Nissan, 5780.
She was 71 and was infected with the coronavirus.
A longtime member of the Chabad community in Chicago, Channa Miriam served as a Mikvah attendant and was a devoted member of the Chevrah Kadisha of Chicago.
In recent years she and her husband moved to North Miami Beach, FL.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Avrohom Zelig Tarshish and children: Frummy Shubov (Toronto), Liba Silberstein (Chicago), Chaya Sara Shaul (Eli, Israel), Simmy Nodel (North Miami Beach), Elke Nodel (North Miami Beach), Yecheal Tarshish (Chicago), Yeshaia (Berky) Tarshish (Crown Heights) and Shoshana Brown (Cleveland), grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We were so saddened to hear. Mrs Tarshish was a lovely, kind and sensitive lady who always had a nice word for everyone. She raised a beautiful family with her husband and was very proud of her wonderful children. She will be missed. Wishing condolences to her husband and children. Channa Miriam was the Matriach of her family. She was an incredible person, who devoted her life to Chesed. She was so proud of children & grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her linerage should continue to follow in her ways. She was a caring Machtenster.
