Mr. Zev Krautwirth, a resident of Highland Park, NJ, passed away.
He was 87.
Mr. Krautwirth was a Holocaust survivor who was Hebrew school and Day school teacher for many years.
In later years he ran a small business.
He is survived by his children, Sofer Rabbi Dovid Krautwirth and Rina Krautwirth.

I was a student at Hillel Academy in Perth Amboy. In the early 1960’s . Mar Zev as he was known by the student there was the first person whom I ever encountered who had numbers Tattooed on his forearm. I asked him what they represented. He took the time to explain to me something that I had never heard of before being a boy of 10 years of age.
