Reb laibel was my accountant many many years. He was a real ehrliche yid. I can’t believe I’m seeing his picture up . He was 100 percent emes !! Never shtick . He arranged the ashkenaz minyan for a long time . Making sure every thing was just right . He cared about the fine details in Yiddishkeit . Reb laibel , we will take care of your children and you take care of us . Tell hashem enough ! We must remember to care about the fine details in Yiddishkeit

Such a special neshama
April 8, 2020 12:08 pm

My uncle Leibel was truly a special neshama. Early on in my marriage (I married his niece) before I left on shlichus, I would go to his apartment every week to learn with him. His lomdus was only eclipsed by his Yirah Shamayim. A True eved HaShem who was a kind and caring mentch. I will miss his presence in our lives tremendously. He leaves behind an amazing legacy of learning and yiras HaShem and not only in Gan Eden, but also in our hearts he lives on forever.

My uncle Leibel was a tzaddik of a man. I have fond memories of him… I remember him learning with my father a”h, and as a kid I was always struck by the respect that my father had for him. He was the most gentle, kind, caring, temimusdike person. He will be missed. I’m sure he’ll strike up a new chavrusah-shaft with my father “upstairs”. Together, they should storm the Heavens and bring Moshiach now! Hashem should bring strength and comfort to his eishes chayil, who stood by him through thick and thin. Our father also pointed out to me that he would back out of a room, or walk sideways. This was because her didn’t want to show his back to the person he was speaking to.

If ever there was an authentic yorei shamayim, it was Leibel Singer!
When some communal funds needed to be entrusted to an individual, all involved agreed that Leibel Singer was the one person everyone trusted unconditionally!

The Two Leibels we lost in one day!
April 8, 2020 1:06 pm

We lost two Reb Leibels in one day! Both from different eras and both from different backgrounds. Both were eidel and humble. both were so medakdek in the kovod of others. both were so careful about the small details. both shunned kovod and had extreme humility. both will for sure be at the rebbes seder tonight demanding that this has to stop and Moshiach needs to come NOW!

A wonderful mentch

The two Reb Leibels we lost today were both from different eras and different backgrounds. But, they were both extremely humble. very careful in the kovod of others. both were very mdakdek in the small mitzvos as in the big ones. both led by example. both were eidel and refined people. both passed away at a time when we are not able to give them the kovod they both deserve and that’s how they would have wanted it. they will both be at the rebbes seder tonight and SHTUREM that we need moshiach now and we CAN’T wait another minute… Read more »

Although R’ Leibel wasn’t a product of Lubavitcher yeshivas, he sent his boys to Lubavitch yeshiva, moved to Crown Heights and joined the Crown Heights community. He was one of those rare individuals whose religious beliefs were personified in the most admirable of midos tovos; his genuine humility, his unfaltering respect for everyone, his devotion in davening, his kindness and sincerity in dealing with people, his impeccable integrity…a true example of a Chosid!

This breaks my heart
April 8, 2020 3:53 pm

I am so pained to hear of R’ Leibel’s passing. I have the fondest memories of living in the Frimerman home and getting to know the immediate extended family. Dearest Ady and sons I am so sorry for this terrible loss. It’s time for Moshiach more then ever.

Only good things from now on.

WE lost a gentle giant of a man

Reb Leibel was always the very definition of an a mentch, and i would often point out to my children the way he held himself and conducted himself with so much humility, and in such a dignified way.
May his beautiful family find comfort in knowing that Reb LEibel, albeit a quiet fellow, made a big impression on so many.

Leibel Singer
April 8, 2020 4:20 pm

It is with so much pain that we lose Leibel today, on erev yom tov. We were lucky to have Leibel and Ady and the boys at our seder every year and have that model of derech eretz, yiras shamayim, humility and aidelkeit to observe when we were growing up. I remember once looking out of the window with my mother and we happened to see Leibel walking home. There was an elderly person walking in front of him extremely slowly, and Leibel just slowed his pace and walked just as slowly respectfully behind. I think about that when I… Read more »

Role model
April 11, 2020 4:10 pm

I have learned so much from leibel and ady – without them even knowing the extent of their influence. In a loud, attention-seeking world, leibel was a quiet giant who exemplified true middos & a life of yiras shomayim. His wife ady continues to model kindness, love, strength in the face of challenges, humility and commitment to emes. What a privilege to have known leibel and family. What a loss to our world. May hashem give ady and the extraordinary boys strength and comfort.

We are heartbroken to hear the sad news.
Through your most challenging times, you were always still able to care and ask about others. Your endless love and dedication to Reb Leibel, a true yorei shamayim, is an inspiration to me. May Hashem bentsh you and your beautiful sons that Reb Leibel and you raised. May Hashem give you the koach to continue being the eishes chayil that you are! May He bring moshiach now!

Leibel taught me how to have Ahavas Yisroel. Whenever I saw him he took time to ask how I was doing and to ask about my family, with such interest and warmth! He had tremendous derech eretz for every person he encountered. I will miss him very much! Ady, you have always been a true akeres habayis. Your tireless effort to be mechanech your children has made such an impression on me. May Hashem give you and your boys strength and comfort you. I will miss Leibel very much!

April 12, 2020 12:14 pm

To my Dear Aunt and beloved Cousins, it was just before I lit candles that I heard the terrible news. my thoughts are full of so many shared sedorim, so many Shabbos meals, so many lucky meetings on the street. Leibel always stopped when he talked to you. there was no rushed, perfunctory “how are you`s?” no hasty greetings. only sincere and authentic inquiries after my well being. he stopped. he listened. he never hurried one along. He treated each person with so much respect. from the time I was a young child, he took the time to ask me… Read more »

From a former co-worker
April 13, 2020 12:17 am

I had the zchus to interact with Reb Leibel in a Flatbush CPA firm for a number of years. His Kavod Habrios was exemplary. Every time I would speak to him, he would begin the conversation with “How are your wife and children?” It was asked with sincerity and he was always looking to get an answer to the question. The respect that he showed to fellow employees, his employer as well as all of the clients who he would be responsible for was always at the highest level. He would never utter any lason hara and certainly never nivul… Read more »
