Mr. Aharon (Harden) Chayempour, the eldest of his family who helped his brothers escape from Iran to the US and a member of Chabad of Ft Lee, NJ, passed away on Sunday, 23 Adar, 5785.
He was 73.
Mr. Aharon Chayempour, known by many as Harden, was the oldest of his 3 brothers and was the one that got his family to move from Iran to the United States.
At a young age, he already saw that Iran was no place for a Jew. He would hear over and over again in the streets, “Death to Israel, death to America.” At the age of 15, he left Iran, came to America and would work any job he could get. He attended college in Nashville were he met Rabbi Zalman Posner, who hosted him often and helped him with all his Jewish needs.
He pushed his parents to send his brothers to the US, one after another, and eventually his parents immigrated as well.
His brother Moshe Chayempour is well known for conducting operation Exodus with Rabbi JJ Hecht, getting thousands of Persians out of Iran. His brother Yitzchak Chayempour, together with his wife Tammy, were sent by the Rebbe to Ladispoli, Italy to help the many Persians who immigrated there until they got their Visas to the US. They were then directed by the Rebbe to follow them back to New York were they serve the Persian community to this day with their School and Chabad house in Great Neck, NY.
Harden loved life, people, and above all, to him family was everything. He was a role model to make an effort to attend family Simchas and was loved by all who knew him. Harden was a spiritual Jew who loved Davening, learning and saying Tehillim. He never stopped learning and would often call himself a “learning junkie” as he never stopped trying to gain knowlege. He was an inspiration to his family and friends, and will be missed dearly.
He was a member of Chabad Fort Lee, NJ.
He leaves behind his 3 brothers: Moshe Chayempour in Los Angeles, CA, Yitzchak Chayempour in Great Neck, NY, and Dovid Chayempour in Toronto, Canada.
