Years ago, a father who had ‘lost’ one of his kids already consulted with my husband about chinuch and my husband asked him what the family did on motozei Shabbos. The answer was nothing much, maybe go out for pizza, watch a video. My husband suggested he lead a family melave malka with stories, songs. The father reported back that he did it and how marvelous it was. Too many parents look outward, out of the house, instead of inward. Thank you for understanding the community’s needs and providing s/t affordable. Please make s/t for teens. Adolescents with too much free time on their hands should be our #1 priority.
to #13 yes toddlers could be put to bed early, they won’t understand these thing. as for Avos U’Banim – is a great program and its a shame if kids will quit it because of some FUN. maybe they can change the times. avos ubanim is for 7-8.
What about for toddlers? They should be put to bed!
Can this programme also be for the 5 year old kids. Or is it only for older kids? Yasher Koach to making some good fun for the kids.
Not everyone in our town has an “Av” or an “Av” that can accompany him every Motzai Shabbos. Although they are welcome, it is an uncomfortable feeling. This is a great alternative.
Its about time the museum continue its classes for [local] kids. My sons used to enjoy the workshops offered there a few years ago. Moreover, this is a great option for girls, too.
This sounds really exciting!! I really like the idea-very refreshing!!!!
this will definitely help the “what can we do?” typically heard on motzai shabbos.
thanks so much for organizing this!
I guess we have a wealth of options for the next few Motzei Shabbat evenings.
However, our boy can’t skip Avos U’Bonim!!!
I agree #1 and #5, my boys can’t go as they take Avos Ubanim very seriously, boruch hashem…. a shame there is finally something fun and affordable for our kids…
very nice looking forward
for years ive been trying to suggest to the museum that they offer classes for local kids. but what about the toddlers??
Sounds great
What a fantastic idea! Thank you.
