Mordechai (Martin) Rosenberg, a beloved father and grandfather from Thousand Oaks and Ventura, California, passed away on Wednesday, 17 Av, 5784.
He was 79.
Martin was of the pioneer families of Chabad of Westlake Village and was a supporter of all the Chabads in Ventura County, CA as well as Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in Los Angeles.
He was known as a Baal tzedakah, who gave matan b’sayser. He frequently gave loans to individuals and mosdos without any fanfare.
He was meticulous in his observance of Mitzvos and drove many miles to give his children a yeshiva education.
He is survived by his wife, Irene, and children, Yehuda Rosenberg – Valley Village, CA, Yossi Rosenberg – La Jolla, CA, and Rebecca Green – Los Angeles, CA.
The Levaya will take place on Thursday, 2:30 pm, at Mt Sinai Simi Valley.
Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
The world has lost yet another legend. Extremely saddening
He was a real character! A huge Baal tzedekah. Donated privately to many causes. Will be missed

There will never be another Martin Rosenberg. He would give tzedaka anonymously and never gave an inch when fighting for Yidishkeit or a client. The world will never know half the good he did.
