A Siyum Harambam ceremony, concluding the daily cycle of learning Mishneh Torah and Sefer Hamitzvos, was held at zal of the Chabad Yeshiva – Rabbinical College of Quebec in Montreal.
The event was held on Tuesday, 6 Tishrei, which is the yartzeit of Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson, mother of the Rebbe who instituted the Daily Rambam custom practiced around the world.
Emceeing the event was Rabbi Shmuel Kramer with an opening video of the Rebbe. The Siyum on Sefer Hamitzvos was done by Menachem Mendel Hamburger.
The Siyum on the Mishneh Torah was done by Rabbi Berel Bell, Rov of the Central Yeshiva shul. The new cycle was started by Rabbi Avrohom Benshimon, a Rosh Kollel in Montreal.
Additional remarks were heard from the city’s Chief Rabbi Binyomin Weiss and the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leibel Kaplan. A guest speaker, urging the crowd to deepen their commitment to the study of Rambam, was the Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Landa of Toronto.
