In a gesture of spiritual solidarity and a call for Divine protection, Lubavitch Youth Organization, The Mitzvah Tank Organization, together with the Shluchim in the New York Metropolitan area, organized a Mitzvah Tank Parade on Tuesday.
The parade’s mission is clear: to conduct Mivtzoim throughout the day, enabling thousands to don Tefilin. Historically, during the Six-Day War in 1967, the Rebbe emphasized the significance of Tefilin, declaring that it would protect the troops. As tensions continue to escalate in Israel, this initiative aims to harness the power of Tefilin as a protective shield for the people of Israel.
After a day filled with Mivtzoim, the parade culminated in a grand rally in the heart of Manhattan.
Rabbi Shmuel Butman, the director of the Lubavitch Youth Organization, commented on the initiative, stating, “Tefilin is our best response to what’s going on in Eretz Yisroel. It’s more than just a physical act; it’s a spiritual armor, a beacon of hope. This is precisely what the Rebbe would instruct us to do in times like these.”
