Just before the last Rambam cycle started, Rabbi Yossi Lipskier was looking for ways to bring Sefer Hamitzvos to the balebatim in his community. All the online resources were either too advanced or demanded too much time. In today’s fast-paced world, he knew he needed something concise and simple.
That’s how Mitzvah Minute was born. Rabbi Lipskier decided he would narrow down the daily shiur to bite-size, 60 second clips, which he would send out to his community members every day.
Thinking bigger, he advertised his campaign online. Within a day, hundreds of Anash and Balebatim around the world had signed up to a daily WhatsApp broadcast. Over the coming months, hundreds more would join. Yesterday, the project was completed. Now, the entire Sefer Hamitzvos can be learned in a minute a day.
