16-year-old Caleb Jacoby has been found in New York City, according to the Brookline, MA Police Department, where the teenager is from.
The Brookline Police announced via twitter just before 9 p.m., “Caleb Jacoby has been found. Safe and well.”
The website MassLive.com reports that he was found in Times Square in New York on Thursday evening. A Brookline Police dispatcher said Jacoby was found, but there are no other details available at this point, and detectives are still working on the case.
Missing since Monday, an earlier report said the son of Jeff Jacoby, a columnist for the Boston Globe may have last been seen in Providence, Rhode Island.
He attends Maimonides School in Brookline and frequents public libraries and Temple Young Israel on Green Street in Brookline.
Jews on the Northeastern region of the United States have been on the lookout for Caleb Jacoby which police said was last seen wearing navy “chino” pants, jeans and a navy polo shirt, a brown winter jacket, brown shoes and white socks.
