The Aleph Institute is proud to present a special Gimmel Tammuz event on Thursday, June 22, geared towards Jews in the US military and showcasing the Rebbe’s unique perspective in military strategy.
Renowned legal scholar and ethicist Rabbi Shlomo Yaffe, also an expert in military history and information, will present the Rebbe’s views on various forms of warfare, which can be gleaned from hundreds of sichos in which the Rebbe addressed both military and diplomatic approaches, as well as from hundreds of military personnel who met with the Rebbe.
While the Rebbe focused much of his efforts on Israel’s national security, and the IDF in particular, he shared many insights that are relevant even for American security and national interests. “As the ultimate Nasi, the Rebbe has words of wisdom for everyone,” says Rabbi Elie Estrin, Aleph’s shliach to Jews in the military. “We felt that it would be fascinating for our crowd, as well as an opportunity to introduce them to a subject that was extremely important to the Rebbe, as evidenced by the significant amount of time the Rebbe spent on the subject.”
