The Jewish community of Tomsk, Russia, dedicated a new ritual bath that replaces one destroyed years ago by the Soviets.
Presided over by local Chief Rabbi Levi Kaminetzky and his wife Chana, Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries to the Siberian city, the dedication ceremony came just months after the grand reopening of Tomsk’s historic Choral Synagogue and its Rohr Sanctuary and Jewish Community Center.

The new ritual bath was funded by S. Paulo, Brazil’s Ateret Ruth Foundation and is named after Fridah Vogel and Esther Shur.
Additional assistance was received from the Rabbinical Center of Europe in Brussels.
