Kollel Ahavas Chesed in Crown Heights, which has been meeting on Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic, will resume in-person learning next week.
Learning will be held at Empire Shtiebel, beginning next Monday, 4 Elul – August 24, daily from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. There will be ample space for social distancing.
It is geared for all men in the community, especially working or semi-retired businessmen, who are looking to join daily learning.
The Shiur in Gemarah is given by Rabbi Shmuel Heber, a local resident and Talmid Chochom who has served as Rosh Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Morristown, NJ. He will teach a blatt of Gemarah a day with the goal of completing the Masechta in 6 months.
On Fridays, a shiur in the maamarim of the Rebbe Maharash will be given.
“The Rebbe explains in a maamar about the greatness of learning Torah specifically in a group of 10 and more because it is then that the 13 middos harachamim are drawn,” an organizer noted.
