Bais Chabad of North Oak Park in Michigan, directed by Rabbi Shea Werner, had their center transformed into the Holy land to fit the theme of their annual Purim celebration.
From the Kotel in Jerusalem to delicious falafel and pita, community members from all ages got to enjoy the Israel experience without even boarding an El Al flight.
Live music and a decorated hall welcomed the crowd as they gathered with their children around the creative booths that included face painting, sand art, orange juice squeezing, digging for treasures through the sand box and getting a chance at Safrus writing.
At the Purim Seudah participants enjoyed homemade food including shawarma, shish kabob, Israeli couscous, Mediterranean rice, spiced meats and much more.
Entertained by magician Gordon Russ, this Purim was one that everyone enjoyed, locals said.
