In honor of the month of Adar, as the Rebbe says, we must add in Joy
and celebration, more than the rest of the year, and especially when
the Joy expresses itself in physical dancing, the natural expression
of great Simcha.
In Oholei Torah Mesivta the Bochurim are celebrating the month of Adar
by dancing every night, after a day full of learning Torah with unique
enthusiasm, the Bochurim break out in to a dance right after Seder
every night, and then learn a Sicha with Chayus.
On Thursday nights, instead of the regular five-minute dance after
Maariv, there is a big dance with a band and instruments, making the
dancing even more lively then before. All the Bochurim, together with
their teachers and Mashpi’im, dance and sing for many hours, until the
early hours of the morning. Throughout the hours of the night, the
Bochurim are joined by many other Yeshivos, schools, and Baalei-Batim
as well.
Throughout the dancing, there are drinks and refreshments for everyone,
so that the dancing should be able to continue with alot of Chayus.
This past Thursday night, Yehuda Piamenta with his band played for
several hours. The Yeshiva of New Haven, CT came in for the
dancing.
