An ingenious idea from filmmaker Mendy Pellin and Yoel Shernofsky will help eliminate the chaos of the beloved and iconic Chanukah Menorah parades which take place around the world each year.
“I’ve always loved Chanukah parades. The only issue every parade has: the music!” Pellin says. “Yes, your tank wins! You found the best music possible. The only problem is all the other tanks and cars feel the same way. And all together it sounds like the cholent symphony.”
During the parades, which head out in cities, towns and highways across the world to bring the light of Chanukah to all, each car, truck, Mitzvah Tank and parade vehicle blasts their own music choices from a loudspeaker, and most times, the music between the vehicles are not in sync.
Pellin has collaborated with Shernofsky to present a solution: Menorah.live
Menorah.live offers one continuous live stream, which everyone in the parade can access, and which ensures that everyone is playing the same music.
“Now, the innocent onlookers will hear something other than a bunch of noise. And it’s actually a pretty cool playlist. Happy Chanukah!” Pellin says.
A livestream to connect to so it plays at the same time, great idea!
Thank you Mendy Pellin!!
Can we get one with a more chassidishe chabad playlist?
Then there will be 2 playlists….. 😔
I’ve been commenting about this every year! I’m glad someone finally did something about it! https://www.facebook.com/100007113528735/posts/3864494257130987/
