Just this week, news came in about a successful engagement from the last Shidduchim event in Shevat. Mrs. Sarah Yarmush, a Shadchan, met a girl at that event. She then met a Bochur that seemed like a good match. They went out, and just got engaged.
“These events are a really important addition to the ChabadMatch database and our automated suggestion feature”, relates Moshe Raichman of Chabadmatch. “They give singles and Shadchanim the opportunity to meet each other and give a personal touch to profiles.”
Registration is $10. Upon registration, you will be able to make up to 4 appointments with Shadchanim whom you would like to meet. Meetings are available on a first come first serve basis, so everyone is encouraged to register as soon as possible.
Registration for the event is at ChabadMatch.com/Register.
She is the best Shadchan! She was ours and we highly recommend her services! Devoted and sincerely cares
They can register a profile on Chabadmatch, which will be accessible to Shadchanim all over the world.
Mrs M. Greenberg is in the photo but she wasn’t listed in the shadchanim list? Perhaps she is unable to attend. She is great shadchanta!
What about prospective clients who are overseas? The Chabad gene pool extends outside CH but this event seems to cater to singles who want to stay in the US. What about those who want to stay in Israel or who don’t currently live in CH? How do they get on the books?
Yes, definitely divorcees can register.
If you visit http://www.chabadmatch.com/shadchanlist.php you can see how many times a Shadchan has been recommended by other singles on the site.
You can also send an email to [email protected] and they can help you chose.
And she’s great!
Why don’t the guys and girls have Meet the Shadchan hours at the same time??!
The shadchan from the April 2nd NY Times article will be there. She takes mostly divorcés, widows and older singles. Check her out!
Made my shidduch!
Come or is it only for never been married? Please specify! Thank you
Why can’t there also be one hour when male or female singles can resister at the same time if they are comfortable doing so… perhaps they can see someone they might want to strike up a convo with or ask a shadchan to meet?
Ty
Wow that is a great idea! that could make it a lot easier for all the Shadchanim!
Which shadchanim should an older girl (upper 30’s) – regular chasidish Lubavitcher, meet with?
Suggestions?
Open to previously married, kids, etc.
Maybe rates for services should also be standardized
Along with the contractual rules of the relationship.
What is the age range, if any, for the participants. Does it include older singles, widows and divorcees?
Maybe the men and women singles should have the same hours.
I went to register and was asked which shadchanim I would like to meet. How do I choose names of people I don’t know?
Just like singlea need a profile so do shadchanim. I would like to know how many years they have been a shadchan for, how many shidduchim they have made ect before checking off names of people I have never heard of.
Who are the top Shadchan?
