A confirmed case of measles has been reported in the Williamsburg neighborhood, raising serious concern among local health professionals about the potential for a broader outbreak, particularly within the frum community.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that can lead to severe health complications, especially in young children. With dense populations and close-knit social networks, the risk of rapid spread in the community is significantly higher.
“Nobody wants their child to get measles,” warned local Crown Heights physician Dr. Eli Rosen of the Crown Heights ODA, in a message to patients. Dr. Rosen stressed that if your child is unvaccinated or missing a booster, to schedule an appointment to get vaccinated.
The Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine is proven to be both safe and effective. Two doses—typically administered at ages 1 and 4—offer up to 97% protection against the disease.
This development comes as health officials continue to emphasize the importance of proactive prevention measures to avoid a repeat of past outbreaks.

Vaccine takes 3 weeks to give immunity and vaccinated people get measles too. Probably because it’s not as effective as they claim. It’s reasonable to question if it’s as safe as they claim too

No, you are just uneducated. Vaccines offer high immunity but like anything it dlesnt offer perfect immunity. It does however offer enough immunity that if the majority take it, measles.can be eliminated from society. When you dont vaccinate(and you otherwise can medically) you put your kids in danger and you put my kids in danger.
Test your kids titers and if they have, then you really have nothing to worry about.

A few years ago the frum community didn’t care when doctors said our children needed to be vaccinated and they had measles parties meaning bringing sick kids to others so they would catch it. Those parents didn’t want to hear measles could be dangerous. Now the same thing is happening. Did the parents change their minds?
Along with most of my generation and I rarely if ever heard of anyone harmed from having measles, unless there were extenuating circumstances. Today kids are vaccinated for it and when one of them is harmed from the vaccine, then that’s called an extenuating circumstance. A bit of an odd twist don’t you think? I say who needs it, except those who are profiting big time off of its sales.

They had the sick parties because the healthy kids weren’t allowed into school unless they either got sick with it or vaccinated. If the city would have mixed out of schools business then people wouldn’t have made measle parties and their would have been less measle cases. Talk about the intervention causing bigger problems than helping.
Whatever you do people, just please stay out of the doctor’s office until the symptoms get fully resolved because we don’t need the city using your infection as an excuse to harass the rest of the community. The doctors don’t help anyways.

The media has been shilling for pHarma and pushing their poison shots, covering up the injuries and deaths from the shots and disingenuously presenting measles as dangerous when in reality it’s benign and even beneficial. Saying a kid got the measles is about as newsworthy as saying that a kid got a cold.
Pregnant women who contact Measels can c”v give birth to babies with defects as has unfortunately happened in Lubavitch.

They test every pregnant women for measles immunity. If she lost hers, she can get vaccinated or take preventative measures. Shouldn’t be turned into a burden for everyone else.

Actually we would like to protect the babies who are too young to get vaccinated. Do we need to not ever leave the house with a baby because you won’t get vaccinated? Is that healthy or fair?

If the patient does not want to try penicillin then they should not be forced.
Nobody is saying to ban vaccines that are safe. But since they inevitably will cause harm to some then nobody should be forced.
I learned alot last measles outbreak mainly that most doctors have never actually dealt with measles so here’s some pointers. There’s is a huge link between low vitamin A levels and the severity of measles so everyone should up in vitamin A rich foods. You can recieve the vaccine within 24 hours of exposure or you can recieve imunoglobulin shots within 24 hours, but these are hard to come by and mainly saved for newborns and young babies. Yes, I get that an unknown percentage of children who get vaccinated may actually experience permanent negative effects from the vaccination. However, an equal, or greater, number of children will be saved from the effects of the illnesses the vaccinations were designed to prevent. I firmly believe the latter group is much larger than the former.
