Of course Shakespeare lived first. I hope your joking Shakeapare- the Shikere Goy, lived almost 200 years before, lihavdil, the Alte rebbe.

MBD is absolutely the king of music. I still enjoy his “I’d Rather Pray & Sing” “Hineni” and most of his songs from the 70’s & 80’s. As well as the more recent “Usid” & the hit song “Im Ein Ani Li” from Kulam Ahuvim.
Such heartfelt and authentic music – no other singer (except Shwekey) comes close to the warmth and power in his voice. It’s no wonder his music feels real – it comes from within. Plus, his lyrics usually come from Torah or some other part of Mesorah which is very inspiring.
