400,000 citizens are trapped in Mariupol, with no electricity, no running water, and dwindling food supplies, if any. Too many are already trapped under rubble, their last cries unanswered.
About 100 members of my community, Chabad in Mariupol, made it out alive to the rundown villages surrounding the city. They’re stranded with nothing but their passports, and imminent danger looming over their heads.
It’s a terrifying and extremely expensive journey to Dniepr, but from there, they can join a bus across the border and make it to safety.
