On Yud Shevat Beis Menachem Mendel in Flatbush was the stage of a momentous fabrengen. The participants included 75 bochurim from the Toronto mesivta and a large crowd a people from all backgrounds in Flatbush and the surrounding areas.
Rabbi Mendel Klufgant, Shliach to Melbourne, related many of his personal experiences and encounters with the Rebbe and about how his father was sent on shlichus by the Frierdiker Rebbe.
in the middle when a manhole exploded nearby causing the building to be evacuated, however this didn’t deter the crowd, as the fabrengen continued on the street in Avenue J, with the same vigor as before.
The next night the festivities continued as the shul hosted another fabrengen with Rabbi Marasow, the esteemed rov of Beis Menachem Mendel.
The fabrengen gave the chance to many baalei baatim to relate many miraculous and inspirational stories of how they and their families received brochos from the Rebbe.
This continued late into the night, with everyone taking on resolutions in honor of Yud Shevat and of a dear member of the kehillah who passed away erev shabbos, Reb Eliezer Leib ben Yaakov obm.
