Two 17-year-old youths who were arrested following the reports of a firearm discharge at 2:35 am on Upper Park Road, Broughton in Manchester on Sunday July 1, Manchester Police said.
The two have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
An imitation firearm and a small amount of blank ammunition have been recovered during the investigation.
Chief Superintendent Mulligan said: “At this time the inquiry is focusing on a dispute between two groups of Jewish youths from the local community, which took place on the street in the early hours of Sunday morning. I would like to reassure the local Jewish community that there is no indication that they were the target of this incident.”
“This appears to be an isolated incident and does not appear to be related to terrorism, the on-going terrorist trial or organised crime activity.
“Further we believe it is not a hate incident motivated by anti-Semitism.
“If anyone has any concerns, please contact your local neighbourhood policing team.”

Was wondering what would happen if armed shooters would attack Buckingham Palace or vicinity; the police don’t have guns. Got my answer when I strolled away from the Palace and saw a fenced off long white building, patrolled by a soldier with his machine gun in ready position. This was Wellington Barracks Army Base.
thats becuase ppl in england arent armed, and cops dont ussually have to fight armed ppl. Better than the u.s where u have some overwheight cop with a handgun chasing a guy with an uzi. On the odd occasion there is a gun involved, they send for a real armed response unit, (who are 10 times better than any swat team- they are trained in Isreal) and they deal with it properly
It’s nothing knew that non- religious Jews are taught to hate religious Jews. Lets try to be a good example to all and practice real Ahavas Yisrael. Maybe they will see the light.
Leiby Kletzky’s murderer was Jewish, unfortunately. It’s convenient to try to relieve ourselves of this embarassment by trying to deny it. But it just won’t work. Better to admit the grim truth then to run away by denial.

In england no one’s armed…. In NY, over 3000ppl have been killed in last decade, and about the same amount killed in car accidents. Americans cant drive, and they have a wharped sense of a justice system, where everyone sues each other. Of your wondering why Switzerland has the lowest crime rate, every one is required to go to the army, and then everyone is required to keep their guns from the army, no fool would commit a crime in Switzerland BC everyone is armed!

I’m British. From Manchester. I think I’m pretty well qualified to know how thew system works, having seen my husband beaten up for being a yid and our men in blue saying it was his fault, he shouldn’t have been where he was (not in a “dangerous” area, on his way back from work. They then wanted to prosecute him. It cost us money to get a lawyer for being a victim of a racist attack. Don’t presume to know unless you’ve been in a situation like we have.
