Every Motzoei Shabbos for the past 16 weeks, boys and their fathers from across Manchester Anash gathered together in Beis Menachem to sit and learn together as part of the worldwide Avos U’Bonim learning project.
Overseen each week by the dedicated Rabbi Yoel Niasoff, the boys would come and sit and learn with their fathers. Avos U’Bonim supplied nosh for each boy participating as well as book vouchers for seforim which were raffled off at the end of each session. Each week a different boy would be given the opportunity to present a dvar Torah.
This past Motzoei Shabbos was the siyum of the winter session of learning and the boys and their fathers were treated to a Melaveh Malka with pizza and chips.
There was live music by Avrohom Tzvi Cohen which led to plenty of lively singing and dancing.
Divrei Torah were given by Mendel Cohen (ben R’ Shmulik), Mendel Sarfati and Yehuda Pink.
Rabbi Mendel Cohen, the Rov of The Minyan in Beis Menachem and Menahel of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch Boys School spoke to the boys. He thanked Rabbi Niasoff for his dedication to the project and presented him with a set of seforim on behalf of all the boys and parents as a token of gratitude.
At the end of the Melave Malka there was a raffle for Seforim and each boy came away with a book of Shabbos Table Divrei Torah by Rabbi Yekusiel Goldstein as a memento.
