As the summer drew to a close, Machane Heights hosted its annual End-of-Camp Banquet, marking 12 years of growth, learning, and friendship. The evening was a celebration of the campers’ accomplishments and the dedication of the staff who made it all possible.
The evening began with Divrei Torah from Rabbi Hershel Lustig, a longtime friend of Rabbi Blasberg and the dean of Ohlei Torah for decades. Rabbi Lustig’s words set a tone for the night, highlighting the importance of the camp’s mission and the lasting impact it has on the boys.
A special video presentation took the audience on journey through 12 summers of Machane Heights, showcasing the memories and milestones that have shaped the camp into what it is today.
Throughout the evening, awards were presented to the boys, recognizing their achievements and growth over the summer. Each award was a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Appreciation was also given to the incredible staff, whose tireless efforts and enthusiasm ensure that each summer is unforgettable. The evening concluded with Rabbi Yossi Langsam presenting Rabbi Peretz Blasberg with a special gift, honoring his visionary idea to start Machane Heights, which has since inspired the creation of similar camps.
The banquet was a fitting tribute to 12 years of success, as the Machane Heights community came together to celebrate the past and look forward to many more summers of growth and learning.
