Maayan Didn’t Take Her First Breath or Cry

Our precious baby girl came into the world floppy, she didn’t take her first breath or cry.

B”H she was resuscitated and we have been on a long journey of recovery since. We named her Maayan Emunah Chaya 🥹 on Purim, the day after her dramatic entry into this world. BH, our sweet daughter has come a long way. We were told in the beginning, she may never breathe or eat on her own. Around a month after that thank Gd, she came off the ventilator and has been writing her own story ever since. We pray every day that she may live up to her name and spread her unique light to the world 🙏🏻🙌🏻 🙏🏻.

Maayan is still tube dependent for feeding and requires constant care for airway management, since she does not yet swallow. We believe with Gd’s blessings and all of your prayers and support for proper therapy, we can draw down the miracles we need for our sweet baby girl to heal and live a full healthy, functional and joyous life, please Gd!

Insurance has covered hospitalizations 🙏🏻, however it only covers minimal nursing help and an insufficient amount of therapy and treatments to truly support Maayan’s complete recovery and ability for her to remain safe at home with us, Gd willing. There are no words to describe the immense toll this has taken on our family. We have been pushed beyond our capacity in every area of our existence. We are sharing our story here to never allow a shortage of resources, Gd forbid to negatively impact our daughter‘s outcome, after such a traumatic start to her life 😔.
