As Crown Heights was hit with heavy snow and challenging road conditions this week, the safety of our talmidim remained the highest priority.
Tomchei Temimim would like to publicly express heartfelt hakaras hatov to the incredible bus drivers who worked tirelessly to bring the children to and from Yeshiva safely despite the severe weather.
Navigating icy streets and constant delays, the drivers demonstrated patience, professionalism, long after regular dismissal, they remained focused on one goal: ensuring that every child arrived home safely.
It is well known that the Baal Shem Tov himself would personally escort children to cheder, understanding the immeasurable value of every moment a child learns Torah. Ensuring that children arrive safely to and from school is not merely transportation, it is part of that very same Avodas Hakodesh.
We are privileged in Crown Heights to have several mosdos and many dedicated bus drivers serving our community each day. We therefore call upon all members of the community: whether you see a bus serving your child’s school or any other mosad, take a moment to say thank you. We all owe them our gratitude.
On behalf of the hanhala, staff, parents, and especially the talmidim, we extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated bus drivers of Crown Heights.

Is it possible to name them so we know who we can be thankful for?
My husband Reuvain Stoll drives bus number 6 from Crown Heights to East Flatbush and to Midwood !
In the beginning days of the storm it took him 3 hours to get back from Midwood to the Yeshiva
Lubavitch Yeshiva has such nice and kind drivers.
I love the new lettering on the buses as well. Looks beautiful.
Thank you Bus Driver Eli!
Benny and Rabbi Winterfeld

Do they not get paid?
Being paid doesn’t mean you should not be appreciated for your hard work and dedication.
For all the extra hours they were stuck in traffic in the snow, patiently waiting for kids and other cars to navigate the snow and chsos on the roads.
And all their patience and care
Can’t we just appreciate all their patience and care during an extremely difficult time out there on the roads with all the traffic and snow and kids trying to navigate their way onto the bus., without asking if they get paid.
I doubt they got paid for all the extra hours they were on the road and if they did, it surely wasnt enough and even if it was enough its still ok to say thank you for all the extra work and devotion.
Not a ULY driver but on many days traffic I was so bad I was doing 3 hour more of driving.
Not for the extra hours
@benny benny friedman we want a heartfelt song “thank you bus drivers”
Would it be appropriate or considerate to mention their names !!
I absolutely mean it respectfully to the drivers
As a ULY parent I can testify. They did an AMAZING job!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you to the dedicated bus drivers not just hard work also with a smile
Eli has been doing an amazing job We love him!!
Thank you Eli, Yossi, Tuvia, Mendel, Yoske, Yitzie, Naftoli, Dovid, Noach, Levi and all the rest of the Amazing Bus Drivers driving our children safely to and from Yeshiva every day!
So true runs are not only way longer, the traffic can drive you crazy, cars park how ever they can creating a maze to navigate thru and lastly tention is so high you run a risk of a full on road rage meltdown for even thinking of swiching lanes and the worst part is becouse traffic isnt moving there stuck with a meshuganeh for 20 min becouse noone has anywhere to go🤣
Yasher Koach to all the wonderful drivers and bus helpers who keep our children safe!
Couldn’t agree more with this article! Reuven our bus driver is always on time with a smile. The way he handled these crazy weeks was admirable
Thats my husband!
Service with a smile !
Thank you
3 of my kids go on his bus bh. He is so patient and friendly with them, always greets them personally with a smile!! He gives out treats and always puts on different fun story tapes that he knows the kids will appreciate.
I’ve noticed when other cars are blocking him he waits patiently in a very calm, understanding way, especially over the past few weeks.
Looking forward to the rest of my kids having Tuvya as their bus driver!!
The Sunday after the snowstorm there was only one school which had bussing and that ocean parkway! The original TTL and they never had a day off!
That’s great!
“…demonstrated patience, professionalism…” There should be the word “and” instead of a comma since it’s a shared idea before moving onto their one goal in mind.
Gooooo tuvtuvs the best bus driver ever!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the trusted custodian of his precious cargo, Tuvia understands the weight of his responsibility. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, he guides his young charges through the city’s labyrinthine streets, his watchful eyes scanning the road ahead with a hawk’s vigilance.
