A 36-year-old Lubavitcher chossid was severely wounded in a suspected terror stabbing at a gas station outside the West Bank city of Givat Ze’ev, north of Jerusalem, on Wednesday night.
The man was treated by medical teams that arrived at the scene and was later rushed to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for further treatment, Times of Israel reported.
“He was fully conscious and suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body,” Magen David Adom paramedic Dudi Gur told the Times.
“We put him in the intensive care ambulance and on the way to the hospital we treated him, including stopping the bleeding and giving him fluids. He was in moderate to severe condition.”
Witnesses at the scene said the suspected attacker attempted to flee the area, but was caught by civilians who alerted security personnel. According to police, the Palestinian terror suspect was subdued and arrested by security forces.
A picture of the stabber’s ID posted to Twitter identified him as Abada Abu Ras, 17, from the nearby Palestinian town of Bir Nabala, Times of Israel added.
Nati Ostri, a volunteer for the Hatzalah rescue service who treated the victim, said police arrived in force immediately after the attack and prevented the stabber from attacking others.
The Lubavitcher man, a father, underwent surgery. “Baruch Hashem, they stopped the bleeding. He is now in the ICU and is sedated by a respirator,” a family member said.
Please say Tehillim for Menachem Mendel ben Chana Yehudis.
We should have civilian patrols. Like the Maccabees in USA,as in Crown Heights in the times of Rabbi Shraga. With guns, rifles, and machine guns, Even knives and hand grenades, tanks and bazokas to deefend ourselves.
B’H she said he’s improving!!
And I wonder why any label at all is necessary. He is human, and the victim of a brutal, senseless, terrorist, murderous attack. “A man was seriously wounded…” tells all that’s necessary to know (unless you want to know his name and his mother’s name).
A yid just got stabbed in our holy land, he needs Tehillim, and your arguing over the title??!!!?
Israel should keep the terrorist in jail A FULL SIX MONTHS (until he and 500 other terrorists are exchanged for the 2 soldier bodies being held by Hamas)!
Im Yisroel have no fear Moshaich will be here this year we want Moshiach now we don’t want to wait
Where have you been?
such an inappropriate title, just say jewish man, that would be enough to say tehillim for his speedy recovery
To #2 – no, it is not over. But at the same time, we go about our daily lives and are watchful.
#3 & #5 you are so concerned with labels, instead of saying Tehillim and showing support for the victim, his family, and all Israel. Do you have any clue how ridiculous you sound?
#11 I am waiting to hear from my friends who ran to the hospital, they are friends with the victim and daven in the same shul. But I understand the attack missed all the vital organs and doctors expect a full recovery.
I live in Jerusalem I’ve been here while all of this was going on and there were multiple different kinds of people attacked and some killed nobody ever cared if they were lubavitch or not!!!
We’re all davening on your behalf! May you have a רפואה שלימה now!! אמן
Do we have an update??
It’s just a description of the victim. Relax.
For those who are wondering about the title, being as chasisim are one family, wouldn’t you want to know if ch”v something happens to a member of your family?
May he have a speedy recovery and May we all be zoche to moshiach now!
#3 and #5.
We must stop with this political correctness.
It is perfectly alright to inform his fellow Lubavitchers that he is indeed Lubavitch.
The pain and angst is for the fact that he is a fellow jew.
Now is the time for unity, Tehillim, acts of goodness and kindness, not looking to criticise.
may he have a refuah sheleima bimeheira!!!
Enough is enough ! We have to have the other Dai – Vharikosee Lachem Brocho Ad Bli DAI – Ad Bli DAI !!
Moshiach is coming any second now.Could he please present himself .
AT ALL. Inappropriate. He is a Jew. May he have a refuah shleimah.
what in the world i thought it was over
Why Lubavitcher? Just say someone Jewish..
May this happen to our enemies..
what is happening? I thought it was over.
