Chabad Schools in Los Angeles, Cheder Menachem of LA boys school, Bais Chaya Mushka girls school, and Yeshiva Ohr Elchanan Chabad have all announced their closure due to the spread of the Coronavirus.
“After consultation with medical consultants as well as our Rabbonim, it has been determined that our Mosdos close Sunday, March 15th,” they each wrote in a letter to parents.
Each school noted that there have not been any cases in their school’s community, “but are taking this action as a precaution” to keep the vulnerable members of the community safe.
Each school noted that its staff will be meeting to devise alternative learning options for students.
“We will remain in constant communication with the medical consultants and Rabbonim to determine when it is deemed appropriate to reopen,” they said.
