The second night of the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeiva celebration with music and dancing in the streets of Crown Heights will take place tonight, Monday.
The yearly dancing was instituted by the Rebbe and has been led for decades by Rabbi Yisroel Shemtov, who has once again ensured a nightly celebration over Chol Hamoed, featuring the biggest stars in Jewish music.
Last year, a new and improved set up and locations for men and women was set up, and remains in effect for this year as well.
The new location for women spectators and the bandstand will better accommodate the thousands who attend, in a more safe and organized manner.
As seen on the map below, the women’s section is now located at the intersection of Crown Street and Kingston Avenue, directly across from the new bandstand location, also on Crown Street.
Each night of Simchas Beis Hashoeva, thousands will join in the joyous dancing, with live music and guest singers. COLlive.com is providing exclusive live stream coverage of the nightly event.
Tonight’s celebration will feature music by Shmuel Batash, Mendi Gadasi, and musicians Kevutza Band and Yossi Cohen.

Some suggestions to improve even more: 1) Can we have speakers close to Montgomery Street and perhaps also at Carroll Street so that those dancing or watching at the ends when it gets crowded hear the music. It also encourages the men to spread out instead of crowding in the middle 2) Can the eating establishment at Crown Street take down the eating spot that is in the street for the week as it greatly blocks the women’s view. Yes some women get… Read more »
