Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun, a Modern Orthodox synagogue Street on the Upper East Side of the New York City, is hosting a Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen marking the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus on Thursday.
The public was welcomed to experience a blend of profound insights, soulful stirrings, spiritual excitement and true unity, which are characteristic of a farbrengen—a joyous chassidic gathering.
The event will feature remarks by Rabbi Emeritus Haskel Lookstein and Rabbi Burt Siegel, a Reform Rabbi who will speak “How Chassidus changed my life.”
There will be soul-stirring Chassidic melodies and a special video presentation.
Also present will be Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz, Rabbi Eli Weinstock, Rabbi Shlomo Kugel, Rabbi Ben Tzion Krasnianski, Rabbi Meir Ossey, and Rabbi Leibel Baumgarten.
The event will be broadcast live, beginning 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
