Jerusalem’s Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar will be a guest speaker at the 44th Siyum HaRambam taking place this today at the Bedford Union Armory in Crown Heights.
Renowned speaker Rabbi YY Jacobson will be the guest speaker and Eitan Katz will lead the crowd in heartfelt niggunim throughout the siyum, with joyous and uplifting dancing at the end of the event in honor of the start of Adar, following the Rebbe’s directive to increase in simcha during this special month and as befitting a siyum on Kol HaTorah Kula.
To ensure that everyone can participate in this historic event, the Siyum organizers have arranged free transportation for the entire Crown Heights, East Flatbush, and Remsen Village communities.
The main Siyum program will begin at 7:00 PM and continue until 8:45 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. At 7:15PM there will be a Siyum on Sefer HaMitzvos, followed by the children’s program in the next room.
The Rebbe requested that the Siyum Harambam be held ברוב פאר והדר. The Rebbe explained that when the Siyum is held in a grand manner it will encourage more people to join and to participate in the learning of the daily Rambam.
The Rebbe took tremendous nachas and strongly encouraged the siyumim that were held throughout the years in a very grandiose way. The Rebbe once even remarked to Rabbi Shmuel Butman a”h, in connection to the siyum: ניט רעכענען מיט קיין געלט!” Loosely translated: “Do not worry about any money!”
Rabbi Butman relates that he personally witnessed countless individuals who merited to see clear brachos from the Rebbe with children, health, parnosah and all areas of life after committing to support the Siyum.
