The grand International Siyum HaRambam, Siyum Horambam Haolomi, as it was called by the Rebbe, will take place this Wednesday evening, eve of Shiva Asor B’Tammuz, at 10:00 PM.
Due to the present situation, the Grand Rambam Celebration will be conducted in virtual form.
Making the siyum (conclusion) will be Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Groner, Shliach in North Carolina, in honor of his father Rabbi Yehudah Leib Groner OBM, secretary of the Rebbe.
Making the Hascholo – (beginning of new cycle) will be Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schwei, Shliach in Luton, England, in honor of his father Rabbi Aharon Yaakov Schwei OBM, Moro D’asro and member of Badatz of Crown Heights.
Rabbi Groner and Rabbi Schwei, who both passed away after being infected with Covid-19, were regular and esteemed participants of the annual Siyum Harambam gathering. The learning by their sons will be done in their memory.
Guest Speakers will include Rabbi Yitzchok Eizik Lando, Rov of Bnei Brak; Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshivah Ohr Elchonon Chabad, Los Angeles; Rabbi Moshe Weinberger, Rov of Congregation Aish Kodesh in Woodmere, NY, as well as other dignitaries.
This is a “Triple Celebration,” the organizer Rabbi Shmuel Butman told COLlive.com. “This will be the completion for the 39th time by those who studied three chapters per day, for the thirteenth time by those who studied one chapter a day, and by those who studied Sefer Hamitzvos.”
