THE SIMCHA REVOLUTION: PARTNERSHIP OF HACHNASAT KALLAH AND INTERNATIONAL PRAYER EVENT
The Simcha Revolution! The ‘Adei Ad – L’Chayim U’livracha’ organization has launched its partnership week: Tuesday – Tuesday, 7th-14th Adar 1, the month in which “Everything turns to good,” we are all taking part in the Simcha Revolution – Hachnasat Kallah (providing for the needs of a bride), for brides of the present and of the future. The campaign will reach its peak on Monday, the night of Purim Katan with an international prayer ceremony held at the holy resting places of our Rebe’im and Mordechai and Esther. The names of every donor will be mentioned at these holy resting places and the event will be broadcast live!
The launch of the partnership campaign was held on Monday in the events hall in Kfar Chabad Bet. The moving event, produced by ‘Tz’vaim Productions’ was attended by 300 partners and friends. The participants accepted ambitious fundraising goals for the partnership week amid a sense of admiration for this special enterprise that embraces the entire community.
The participants enjoyed a full program: The artful play “Bachelorettes” by the Pesipasu theatre, “Halahaka” – a musical production by Tali Avrahami, over a delicious four-course festive meal. The figures projected onto the wide screens were impressive, to say the least: The bridal baskets (Nedunia) valued at thousands of shekels were distributed to no less than 480 brides this past year alongside the groundbreaking projects of ‘L’Chayim U’livracha’ for the promotion of adult matchmaking. The ‘Adei Ad – L’Chayim U’livracha’ organization is served by the community for the community and acts tirelessly for the community’s welfare. Each person who invests sees amazing returns, take the following examples from last year’s campaign:
Esti is a young lady who took upon herself to sponsor a number of brides beyond her intended budget. She excitedly revealed from the podium at the campaign event, that in exactly one month to the day – 7th Adar II, she is getting married B’ezrat Hashem!
Mrs. Yaffa Shapiner shared how she really pushed herself beyond her financial comfort level and took responsibility for the expenses of 3 brides. The following year she merited to marry off 3 of her own children!
The evening’s participants continued in the same vein of generosity, each one according to their means and beyond their means to benefit young and mature brides with handsome donations. This display of kindness and support helps bolster and expand the organization’s blessed work.
Now is the time for each one of us to earn the privilege of taking part in this great mitzvah. Donate now and enjoy your “Fruits in this world,” as many of our donors have testified to meriting; shiduchim, marriages, smachot and yeshuot as a result of their donation to ‘Adei Ad – L’Chayim U’livracha’.
At the conclusion of the campaign the zechut of Tzadakah will be accompanied by the additional zechut of tefillah, at the holy resting places of our Rebe’im and the tombs of Mordechai and Esther. The names and requests of each and every donor will be mentioned in a live and moving ceremony dedicated to hastening the redemption of each individual and of our people as a whole.
Adei Ad – Sharing your Simcha
Adei Ad’s dowry baskets which started as a modest gift to 10-20 needy brides a year, has expanded exponentially and this last year reached an impressive 480 brides! Each bride receives a rich dowry basket containing essential items of the finest quality from leading brands at a value of thousands of shekels. Excited brides and their mothers from all over the country visit Adei Ad’s location in Kfar Habad, a packed caravan sprawling with goods. The brides-to-be stuff their cars to overflowing with gifts and goods, leaving with not only full cars but full hearts and spirits. Today, Adei Ad has become a natural stop for every Chabad bride in her preparations for her wedding, easing the load and financial burden of every Chabad family facing surmounting expenses in establishing a new Jewish home.
In special cases of brides with very meager means, larger dowries are provided including financial assistance and subsidies for purchasing Sheitels from select ‘Sheitel Makhers’ taking part in the Mitzvah of Hachanasat Kallah. If the need calls for it, personal assistance is provided for all the wedding preparations by a dedicated volunteer.
L’Chayim U’Livracha – A Surprising Revolution
Along with the amazing work of Adi Ad for the brides of today, a surprising revolution is taking place for the brides of tomorrow. The ‘L’Chayim U’Livracha’ organization runs a wonderful combination of projects to promote shiduchim for unmarried girls in Anash. These girls receive a ‘full service’ including seminars on dating and marriage, workshops, farbrengens, and group support and coaching. There are similarly meetings organized for Shadchanim. Tens of Shadchanim take part in our 6-week specialization program, ‘Secrets of Matchmaking’ where they learn the skills to deal with challenging and more complicated shiduch cases. Other original and groundbreaking ventures have been established by caring and action-oriented members of the community from the project, “Caring for All” to “Tav HaSameach” – offering lucrative rewards for successful shadchanim. A brand-new venture has just been rolled out called “Ichpat Li”. The ambitious goal of this project is to offer assistance and support from the beginning of the shiduchim process to substantially reduce the number of mature girls still searching for their bashert.
This has to do with you too! We are all part of the Chabad family. Our act of kindness towards brides is returned to us 10-fold with blessings for our own shiduchim and for our children and loved ones. We plant Hachnasat Kallah, we reap “our fruits in this world” with blessings for yeshuah, shiduchim and support from heaven – a dowry package for our own Simcha!
