Tonight, Crown Heights will be the location of something truly special, and you’re invited to be part of it.
On the 19th of Adar, Batsheva Learning Center hosts the 10th Annual High School Chidon Championship, the culminating event of a months-long Torah learning journey undertaken by 450+ high school girls from around the world. These girls have spent the past several months studying Kuntres Umaayan, a series of 28 maamarim by the Rebbe Rashab, taking five rigorous tests, and pushing themselves further in their study of Chassidus than many of them ever had before.
Sunday night is their moment to shine, and we want you there to cheer them on.
The evening will feature a live game show competition between the top ten finalists, who will demonstrate their mastery of the entire sefer by answering questions orally. Five participants will share creative presentations about their learning journey. The evening will conclude with the awarding of first, second, and third place prizes, and personalized plaques presented to every participant who completed the Chidon.
The Championship and Awards Ceremony takes place this Sunday, 19 Adar (March 8), at Beis Rivkah Crown Shul (310 Crown St.) in Crown Heights. Doors open at 7:00 PM, the program begins at 7:30 PM, and the evening will conclude by 9:00 PM. All Chidon participants are invited to stay for a farbrengen to follow. All women and girls are warmly invited to attend. A virtual viewing option will also be available on Batsheva Learning Center’s YouTube channel for those who can’t be there in person.
Come celebrate these incredible young women and the Torah they’ve made their own.
Showing up means telling these girls that their learning is valued, recognized and celebrated. It means showing the next generation of mothers, shluchos, and mechanchos that we believe in them and their ability to transmit their love of Torah to the next generation.
