The end of the year of Kaddish for Mrs. Dorit Giro OBM, a beloved Crown Heights resident and mother, was marked at Mesivta Lubavitch of Toronto, where her son Sruly learns.
After shachris davening, the bochurim and members of the hanhalla joined for a light L’chaim and refreshments in honor of her neshama.
Later in the day, there was a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Chitas and Rambam Library which the bochurim of shiur Gimmel arranged and dedicated in her memory.
The program included a few words from maggid shiur Rabbi Yosef Gorman, Mashpia Rabbi Yosef Leib Wechter, and bochur Mendel Shloush.
Mrs. Giro’s brothers of Crown Heights were thanked for their assistance, as well as Nachman Perl, Rabbi Fishel Oster, Chaim Teitlebaum, Mendel Shloush, and Mendel Kagan for all of their help.
