More than ten weeks have passed since the search parties found the bodies of the three murdered Israeli teenagers, Naftali Fraenkel, Gilar Shaer and Eyal Yifrach.
This tragic event has not been forgotten. On Long Island, NY, thirty government leaders gathered to pay their respects by sending letters of condolence to the grieving families.
This special project, uniting the community, with a ‘Journal of Condolence’ was established by Chabad of Mineola with joint efforts coordinated with Chabad of Hewlett. Both Rabbis Anchelle Perl and Nochem Tennenboim, leaders of their respective Chabad Houses, noted that the outpouring of support and love was heartwarming and sincere, the leaders expressed themselves with such caring and thoughtfulness.
At a special meeting held at the Ohel, Rabbi Zalman Yeruslavsky, the Rabbi to the Yifrach Family in Elad Israel, was appointed the messenger to present the “Book of Condolences” to all the families. Rabbi Yeruslavsky also serves as the Rov of Elad and Rosh Smicha in Kiryat Gat. Joining this occasion was Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, the Rov of the Kotel in Jerusalem.
