Menachem Poznanski is a New York State licensed clinical social worker and has worked in the field of substance abuse prevention, addictions treatment, and recovery support for the past fifteen years.
Since 2004, Poznanski has served as director (and now, clinical director) of The Living Room (TLR), a recovery clubhouse for Jewish young adults. TLR, a division of Our Place of NY, Inc., was the first Jewish program of its kind, specifically providing faith-based outreach and ongoing support services for Jewish young adults in recovery.
Poznanski received his master’s degree in social work from the Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2005. He maintains a private practice in Cedarhurst, New York, where he lives with his wife and children.
Poznanski will be one of the featured speakers at this year’s Jewish Recovery Center’s 8th Annual Retreat and Shabbaton on March 13th-15th, 2019 in Florida. More info here.

Imaging studies show marijuana clearly without doubt causes temporal lobe volume loss and damage and can decrease one cognitive abilities as well as lower IQ scores. I am a neurologist and full professor and have been in practice over a decade. I have read the data and we have over 60 years of research on the topic. Please PubMed and Ovid any of the things I mentioned above and you can read the studies for your self.
