Lamplighters Yeshivah in Crown Heights has announced the opening of a new class in their boys elementary school. This class is the prototype for a new and exciting project that will ultimately be scaled in Jewish schools, nationwide.
Preparing for a Fall kick off, the Lamplighters team has been reviewing benchmarks and milestones, distilling learning principles based on data and constructing curricula.
Lamplighters’ expertise in whole-child centered learning, character development drawn from Chassidus, along with its commitment to behavioral science and cutting edge design will be at the core of the model. New features will include immersive Hebrew language instruction and curriculum oversight by top education experts in the field.
Bryna Leider, Head of Partnerships for Jewish Education at AltSchool, is set to oversee the project. A former education director of Beis Rivkah Head Start, founding director of Luria Academy and director of day school innovation at The Jewish Education Project, Leider brings her extensive experience in education to this project at Lamplighters.
There are currently a few spots left for 5-6 year old boys to gain immeasurably from this unique and powerful opportunity. Please click here to learn more.
This project is supported through a collaboration between Lamplighters, AltSchool, the Kohelet Foundation and other generous funders.
